Lauren Jost is a theatre artist specializing in devising and directing original theatre for young audiences
Theatre ArtistAs the Founding Artistic Director of Spellbound Theatre, Lauren has collaborated as a director, playwright, and designer on sixteen original works of theatre for young audiences utilizing physical theatre, puppetry, and multi-media projections. As a playwright, director and performer for audiences of all ages, her work has been presented the Chicago Children's Theatre, New Victory Theater, Spellbound Theatre, and many others.
Lauren is a New Victory Theatre LabWorks Resident Artist (2015, 2017, 2019, 2020), and a recipient of the Henson Foundation Family Grant (2013, 2015), and was a 2018 TYU-USA/UT Austin Artistic Exchange Fellow for that fellowship's inaugural year. Lauren is a nationally recognized leader in "Theatre for the Very Young" and creator of arts programs for children ages 0-5. Creating, directing, and performing in original performances:
